A bought a new house a little while back and I was surprised at the shocking numbers they hit me with when I went to sign the final documents. We started with some very reasonable figures in regards to the loan amount, the interest rate and all of the associated fees. At least the fees that I was aware of at the time. I guess since it has been quit some time since I have gone through the whole mortgage process I kind of forgot all of the actual fees that are associated with buying a house. When I went to sign the final docs however it all come back to me, right there in front of me in black and white. All I can say is thousands of dollars in title insurance.
I don’t even remember what title insurance is much less why I need it. I don’t remember contacting a title company to even get a quote for this insurance yet there it was. So I thought to myself, if I am going to pay for this insurance I am at least going to find out what it is for. I looked it up on wikipedia and it said “Title insurance is insurance against loss from defects in title to real property and from the invalidity or unenforceability of mortgage liens.” I am not sure that I understand all of that mumbo jumbo but I guess it is the job of the title insurance company to make sure that when I buy a house no one can come against my house and say that I owe them money or they have any right to my house at all. I guess that is worth the money.

Senator John Edwards has officially announced that he will be pulling out of the run for President as he has been trailing in third place for some time now. In yesterday’s primary in Florida Senator Edwards only received 14% of the vote and that just isn’t enough to cut it. Everyone saw it coming after he lost the South Carolina primaries so this is no big shocker. Look at this way though, at least he will have more time to work on that perfect hairdo of his.

If you own your own website and are interested in ways to make money online than this pay close attention to this post. I am going to tell you about a new company called Net Audio Ads that actually allows you to use your new or existing website to make a little extra money. Now I know what you are thinking. You are thinking that you have already tried the pay per click advertising banners that clutter up your website and distract your readers only to find that no one ever clicked on them and you made no money while defacing your beautiful website all at the same time.
This system is much different however. It actually plays site relevant 5 second audio ad on your site. The advertisers that the company works with will buy ad plays on your website for 100% of your visitors. That means that for the first time ever you will have a 100% conversion rate and be making money with every person that visits your site not just the people who click on your ads. Another great thing about this setup is that they are giving people the opportunity to become company affiliates if you join by Feb 1, 2008. That means that not only will you get paid for the ads on your site but also for the ads played on anyone else’s site who you referred to the company. Now we are talking about multiple streams of money. That i sway better than pay per click.

I am always looking for more and more real estate. Well the truth is that i am more interested in the dirt that the Real Estate sits on than I am in any actual houses. That is because in a world where the housing market is constantly on the rise or on the fall there is one thing out there that is always constant and that is dirt. I know that with any thing there are times that are better to buy and times that are better to sell but I want dirt and lots of it. I am looking to become the king of dirt. The reason you may ask is because no matter how much houses rise or fall or how many they build every year their prices may change. They can’t build more land though and there is only so much of it to go around.
Right now I am looking into some houston real estate to further grow my portfolio of land around the country. Who knows maybe someday I will be able to expand that statement into my portfolio of land around the world. That is where I would like to be someday. A land owner in multiple countries, then I would consider myself the king of dirt.

I am not sure if Google itself is on its way down or not but its stock certainly is. I heard that Google’s stock dropped an unprecedented $50 per share yesterday. For any company that would be an incredible amount of money and could cost the company its financial future. For Google however that was less than a 10% drop of what the stock is actually selling at. Google stocks are selling at roughly $600 per share which is the highest amount that I have ever heard of any stock selling for. This big drop may have cost the shareholders some vacation money but I think overall Google will stand strong.
