Okay this is getting crazy. I mean we just got Fay out of our hair and already we have another hurricane coming this direction. The last one flooded our neighborhoods, tore down power lines and just flat out pissed me off. But now there is a stronger one on the horizon. Seems Tropical Storm Gustav is off the coast of Haiti and headed into the gulf. That’s it, I think it is time to move back to California.

I have several blogs and websites that I run every month. These blogs are more for my personal use than anything else. I mean my wife runs a blog about celebrity gossip and I run this blog here about all sorts of business and politics and things that will effect the economy. I have been in the corporate world for years and I just like to share my experiences. I mean if it helps one person not have to file bankruptcy or close his company then I did something good.
Point is however that lately I have been getting more and more people visiting these sites and I think it might be a good time to try and turn it into a real business. I have several products that I offer at my stores locally and I was thinking about hooking up with a credit card company or merchant processor and selling some of these products on my sites. I found a company called Online Check.com that has some great features and will allow me to accept credit cards on my sites and the best part is that they have no fees, no contracts, and they will give me a free credit card machine. I am going to get some more details about them and see what the future holds. Who knows I may just make some money online yet.

Well at the Democratic National Convention last night Hillary got up and gave full support to Obama. Bill was sitting nearby as she told America that it was time to get together and unite behind Obama no matter what the ill will behind her and his relationship was like. Hillary was once certain that she would win the Democratic nomination, also took steps on to keep the door open to a future bid for the presidency. She rallied supporters in her speech, and, at an earlier event with 3,000 women, described her passion about her own campaign. And her aides limited input on the speech from Obama advisers, while seeking advice from her former strategist, Mark Penn, a loathed figure in the Obama camp. Not sure how long it will last but it is obvious there will be a Clinton for President 2012 campaign to come.

For those who are unaware of what is going on in Florida right now, Tropical Storm / Hurricane Fay has been tearing the place up and leaving some decent damage in her wake. It has been upgraded and downgraded several times so tropical storm or hurricane it doesn’t matter. The fact is that it is leaving all sorts of damage, flooding and even tornadoes as it passes by. 82k residents in my city alone are without power as I am typing this. Guess I am one of the lucky ones.
