Just Getting By

January 4th, 2009 by tad

My last post talked about how bad things have been between the car companies crashing down and people losing their homes. I believe that a lot of Americans really just don’t realize how bad things really are for some people. As long as you have a house a car and a steady job you may be in your own little world where things are all happy and peachy. The problem is that the rest of us live in the hard world. The world were people are getting 40% of their weekly check taken away as a method for the company the are working for to try and keep its doors open.

Those companies are doing everything they can to stay afloat. The problem is that it is costing many Americans their jobs, their cars and their homes for them to do so. Companies are doing everything from cutting back on advertising to closing merchant accounts down and cutting back to the bare essentials. I am not sure how long they will be able to hold on but I hope it is long enough to keep most of America employed until this thing turns around. The big question is will our President be the one that can do it or not.

Is Corporate America Crashing?

January 4th, 2009 by tad

That is the real question of the day right there. Is corporate America falling apart with every day that goes by. I have seen a lot of things go bad in the corporate world over the last few years but nothing as bad as the last few months. Now with the car companies on the verge of bankruptcy I am afraid recovery is going to be a very long road ahead. The key will be trying to hang on for as long as possible while we wait it out.
