I have been looking into a couple of options when it comes to buying land and I have actually been considering buying an empty lot and building on it. The thing is that I wouldn’t be able to afford both that and my current home so I would have to live on the lot to justify the payment. One option I am looking at is to downgrade myself and put a manufactured home on the lot and crash there while construction is going on. Not the ideal situation of course but at least manufactured homes are a lot nicer than they used to be.
