My wife’s sister is pregnant with her second child and my wife was actually asked to be the baby’s godmother. Now I’m not Catholic so I don’t exactly know what that all entails other than us having to fly to California for the ceremony. Oh and I have seen the Godfather like a hundred times so if it’s anything like that we may have some concerns. Either way I see a baby shower in our near future as my wife is looking at baby shower invitations already.

Have you seen this word floating around the internet? What in the world is Mesothelioma? I can tell you that it is fun to try and say, especially when you are drunk. It’s even more fun to take a video of that drunk guy trying to say it and put it on youtube. I know it has something to do with asepsis or something like that, and that’s a bad thing and all, but that doesn’t make the word any less fun to say.

I have decided that it is time for a new tv. Well, I didn’t actually decide so much as my old tv decided for me when it refused to turn on one day. It was a Dell 50″ plasma and after about three years of use it just decided it no longer needed to work and costs more to fix than it was worth. So I am going to go check out a new Samsung HDTV and throw that old one in the trash.

Is everyone losing their homes right now? I ask because I rent a lovely house in Florida. I have lived here for several years and never had an issue. That is until someone came to my door to serve a notice of foreclosure on the property. Apparently, although I have been paying my rent my landlord has not been paying his mortgage. When I hit the internet to see if this is common, I found it was much more common than I expected. Seems that there are a lot of people losing their homes right now. People like my landlord, people like me.

The FCC has been fighting hard for control of the internet. Congress however has shut them down once again. The federal appeals court ruled yesterday that the Federal Communications Commission lacks the authority to regulate how Internet service providers manage their networks. What does that mean for us? It means that the FCC can’t touch the internet. No matter how much they want to they have no jurisdiction there. I wonder how long that will actually hold however. How long before the FCC ruins the free speech we all have.
