With the economy the way it is right now sales are low. Sales are low for everyone across the board and I am not sure what to do about it. I am actually thinking of expanding into new products to see if that brings in a little extra. I am considering adding some bodybuilding supplements to my shelves just to see if they sell. It might not be much but a couple extra sells a week could definitely help business.

If you own your own company than the holidays are a great time to boost business. I know most people don’t think so but this is the perfect opportunity to get your name back out there. All you have to do is to send out some corporate holiday cards to all of your people. It will get your business name back out there and let all of your prospective and past clients know you are thinking of them. Then they will start thinking of you.

I have to start by asking if everyone’s businesses are down or if it is just mine. The economy is getting hit hard and it is really being felt in the service industry. Businesses that provide luxury services like mine are really taking a cut right now as people are cutting back on unnecessary expenses. If things don’t change soon I am going to down real fast.

I don’t know about you but I tend to use my credit cards more than anything else. I rarely carry my checkbook on me and using my atm is to difficult. I mean who wants to carry around tons of cash on them for large purchases. I say this because if you are currently in business and do not accept credit cards you are missing out on a huge chunk of business. I know the credit card processing fees can be a little high sometimes but look at it this way. That is business that you probably would not have gotten anyway. After all with credit card fees under 3% you have to still be making a decent profit or you really need to rework your percentages.

There are several ways to get a business started. Of course in the end they all stem down to only two ways. The right way and the wrong way. The good news is that there are several ways to become successful that will end you up the right way. The bad news is that there are even more ways out there that will end you up the wrong way so be very careful the path you choose.
