Gotta Make More Money

With the economy the way it is right now sales are low. Sales are low for everyone across the board and I am not sure what to do about it. I am actually thinking of expanding into new products to see if that brings in a little extra. I am considering adding some bodybuilding supplements to my shelves just to see if they sell. It might not be much but a couple extra sells a week could definitely help business.

If you own your own company than the holidays are a great time to boost business. I know most people don’t think so but this is the perfect opportunity to get your name back out there. All you have to do is to send out some corporate holiday cards to all of your people. It will get your business name back out there and let all of your prospective and past clients know you are thinking of them. Then they will start thinking of you.

Business is Down

I have to start by asking if everyone’s businesses are down or if it is just mine. The economy is getting hit hard and it is really being felt in the service industry. Businesses that provide luxury services like mine are really taking a cut right now as people are cutting back on unnecessary expenses. If things don’t change soon I am going to down real fast.

Credit Cards Might Bring Sales Up

I don’t know about you but I tend to use my credit cards more than anything else. I rarely carry my checkbook on me and using my atm is to difficult. I mean who wants to carry around tons of cash on them for large purchases. I say this because if you are currently in business and do not accept credit cards you are missing out on a huge chunk of business. I know the credit card processing fees can be a little high sometimes but look at it this way. That is business that you probably would not have gotten anyway. After all with credit card fees under 3% you have to still be making a decent profit or you really need to rework your percentages.

Upgrading the CPU’s

I have just come across this new business performance management software that is far better than the system I have been running. I am always on the lookout for a bigger and better product. I know there is the whole theory of if it isn’t broke don’t fix it, but I feel if I could be faster and more efficient than why not be. I would be upset if I only found out about it years later and I could have been making so much more money in previous years.

I have a nice tanning salon that I bought a couple of years back and it has been running pretty smooth. Well, I decided a couple of months ago to make some changes to it and try and really liven the place up. What I did was actually went out and bought some glass tile and decorated each of the rooms with it. It turned out really nice and was very unique to other places in the area. I have several blogs and websites that I run every month. These blogs are more for my personal use than anything else. I mean my wife runs a blog about celebrity gossip and I run this blog here about all sorts of business and politics and things that will effect the economy.
