Sleaziest Campaigns in History

September 15th, 2008 by tad

Obama versus McCain. It should be listed as the fight of the century. Something bigger than anything Tyson ever did. This campaign is about to go down as the dirtiest, sleaziest, most attacking campaign in political history. Both parties are hitting below the belt and it is just getting worse each day. I have no idea where this is headed but I can say that if it gets any worse I am going to have a hard time voting for either candidate. For God’s sake, someone take the high rode.

Run, Here Comes Ike

September 12th, 2008 by tad

Hurricane Ike starting moving in on the Houston area Friday morning, the National Weather Service issued a stern warning to people living in small houses on Galveston Island that they faced “certain death” from flooding if they remained in their homes. The forecasters at the weather authority said the wall of water being pushed onshore by the mammoth storm could cause floods of 15 to 22 feet above sea level, enough to cover many houses on the island. I don’t know about you but I would run like hell. Ike is now more than 500 miles across and is rated Category 2, with 105 mile per hour winds at its center, churning across the Gulf of Mexico about 230 miles southeast of Galveston, according to The National Hurricane Center. Hope everyone gets out in time, this one is no joke.

Election Getting Ugly

September 10th, 2008 by tad

It is early in the election process and already there are accusations and negative statements getting thrown around like candy on Halloween. I am not sure if it is all political or not as some of it seems very personal. Personally I don’t care for either candidate and will be forced to go with the one that I would call the lesser of two evils come election time. It’s a real shame though to not be able to actually vote for someone that I really want in office.

Ike to Fight Castro

September 7th, 2008 by tad

Well, it looks like Ike is headed right into Castro’s back yard. This is the second hurricane to strike Cuba in as many weeks and that place is starting to look more tore up than usual. This one however is set to hit as a category 4 with some serious 125 mph winds and estimated to do far more damage than the one that just left. Not sure if Cuba can take another hit like the last one but the better get ready and get ready fast.

Business is Just Bad

September 6th, 2008 by tad

Recession or no recession there is no reason for business to be so bad across the board for everyone. I just don’t get it. I mean it seems like it is just one thing after another lately. If its not the war in Iraq it is a hurricane off the gulf of Mexico threatening the oil supply we make here, thus raising the cost of crude oil and driving gas prices up. It is going to get to the point where we can’t even afford to live in our own country anymore.
