I have been wanting to take some time away from real life for a bit and go somewhere that I never go. I have been all over the place but not quite everywhere. I would really like to go to a few different places that most people don’t think about. There are so many great places out there that are often overlooked for the more touristy places, like the Outer Banks. I looked into a few Outer Banks rentals and found a place that is real nice, maybe I will go there.

They Can’t All be the Best

If everyone out there says that their product is the best product and to use it over their competitor how can you know which is truly the best? For instance, I was looking for a way to lose some weight and when I typed in best fat burner I got like a million results that all said their’s was the best. That can cause some serious confusion.

Feeling safe at home and work

One of my first jobs I ever worked at was a security company where I installed security alarms for businesses. In doing so I really learned the importance of why we should all have them in our homes and offices. If for no other reason that have that safe and secure feeling when you go to bed at night. Course the deal they give you on your homeowners insurance if you do have one doesn’t hurt either. I have one setup in my home and commercial security in my office and I go to bed every night knowing that my work is safe and so is my family. Those are the only things I care about in this world, why wouldn’t I protect them.

Continued Education

I have recently been looking into ways of continuing my education. The problem is that I work full time and between the kids football and cheer practices it does not leave a whole lot of time for me to do so. That is why I have been looking into a couple of online degree programs to see what is available out there. I have never been involved in any sort of online university before but with what I am reading this might just be the best way for me to go. Perhaps with this option I could finally get that dream job that I have always been wanting and get out fo this nine to five thing.

Back to Orlando

My daughter and her cheer squad have won the city championships again and are officially going back to Orlando for the third year in a row. It’s not that I don’t like Orlando it’s just that I prefer not to spend my time there in a hotel filled with ten thousand cheer leaders. I prefer to go on orlando vacations not trips that make me want to pull my hair out before they even begin.

Tools of the Trade

I have a business right now that has a lot of inventory and it has been very difficult keeping track of it all. Don’t get me wrong I am getting the job done it is just that I think it is time that I invested some money into something like a barcode scanner that would help me to keep better track of things more easily. If I can do my job better and easier why wouldn’t I?

Time to Think

My wife and I are planning a couple of trips out of the country over the next year or so. In saying that I think it is time that we really started thinking about our own mortality. We have two kids to consider and I believe it is time that we looked into getting a life insurance quote and possibly setting up some sort of policy just in case something happens. When you are traveling, you never know what could happen.

Building Cars Again

Although car manufacturers are shutting down across the country not all car companies are closing their doors. It seems that Fisker Automotive, a company who specializes in electric cars, is actually expanding. They are currently looking into purchasing and old GM plant in Wilmington, DE. $200 million is a lot of cash to put out, but it seems they can afford it. If you live in that general area and possibly worked at that old plant you might have a chance at a job with the new company given your experience. Get out there and get your resume in early and good luck with the job hunting.

Dream Jobs can come true

I just found this really cool site called Learn.com. It is full of all sorts of great online classes you can take to get a job, or if you already have a job then to get a better job. Let’s face it, out of everyone in the workforce today how many do you think are actually working their ideal dream job. I know I’m not and I would estimate that a good portion of America is not either. Personally, I would love to be a video game designer. I have been into video games since I was a little kid and even today I have refused to give up my addiction. To get paid to actually design those games, that would be a dream come true for me.

That is why I have looked into a few ways of Elearning so to speak that could help me get one step closer to my dream. I have been in graphic design my whole life and if I could learn some more about 3d modeling and rendering than I might just have a shot at my dream job. I was once told that if you love your job than you really never work a day in your life. I believe that to the fullest.
